I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather and does something fun this weekend. Don't forget about Mardi Gras in Galveston, which will be something special. Don't worry about me. I'll be home preparing my house for the arrival of my grandchildren.
Looking ahead to next week:
Monday: In 100B (LCC bldg), we'll continue with main idea (complete the exercises in the book on stated main idea). Also, we'll watch 1/2 of "Supersize Me," a documentary about the effects of a fast-food diet.
Tuesday: In the Call Lab, we'll watch the rest of "Supersize Me." Of course we're not just going to passively watch the show. We'll take notes and answer questions based on the notes.
Wednesday: You're going to present the results of your survey, so please get ahead on this and start interviewing people for your health survey (the survey is in the reading book--I will make copies of it on Monday for you).
Thursday: We'll do something fun with Holes. Please read through chapter 12 (did I say 12 in class today?).
Friday: Valentines Fun Day. Please meet with your teammates so you can prepare something special. Everyone has to participate.
Of course, if you want to train for the Reading Olympics (a.k.a. the American university), it means you have to do lots of reading and regularly increase your vocabulary, so let's aim for a MINIMUM of 10 words a day
To get you in the Valentines Day spirit, here is my gift to you:
yes Holly, you have mentioned that it is until chapter 12, and thanks for the nice Valentines gift :) .
